Onsite laboratory - Over 95% of our spectacles are manufactured on the premises. This means that your glasses will be made more quickly,  it is also better for the environment and it allows David to oversee  the complete assembly of your spectacles. from frame choice, discussing the lens options best suited to your visual requirements, manufacturing the glasses, checking the quality of the finished product and adjusting the frames on collection to ensure optimum vision and comfort.

Optical Coherence Tomography - We have recently invested in a new OCT scanner. This allows us to take both digital photographs and three dimentional scans of the back of the eye, enabling us to screen for conditions such as Age-related macular degeneration, Diabetes, Glaucoma, Macular holes and Vitreous detachments. Should you require referral to the hospital, these images are sent directly and securely with the referral, thus providing a more comprehensive history. The scan is non-invasive, painless and quick.

Visual Field Testing - This test allows us to assess the extent of your peripheral vision. This is of particular importance when checking for glaucoma and other neurological disorders. We are one of the few opticians in Northern Ireland able to carry out the Esterman Binocular Visual Field Test, specifically required by the DVLA for certain Group 1 and 2 drivers particularly if they are suffering from an illness or incident which may affect their ability to drive.
